The story, "A Letter to God" by G.L. Fuentes depicts strong faith of a farmer in God. It begins with Hut on the field of a farmer, named Lencho expecting for a rain to harvest his field of corn. He is confident that he will definitely earn good profit by selling crop and excited also.Rain came but after a short period of time it turned into a hailstorm and destroyed entire crop. As their entire livelihood is depends on the year's produce so former and his family is in worry because this is the only way of their survival . Although their livelihood is down in the dumps now but, the family still believing in God. Lencho, knew how to write and thus he wrote a letter to God, In letter he explained the scenario and asking for help ( around 100 pesos) . He went to post his letter where the letter noticed by postmaster to post his letter addressed "To God".at first laughed at him, but then praise him for his firm believe In God .His colleagues and friends contributed 70 Pesos for an act of charity. Which he wrapped in an envelope to make it seem like the letter is reply from the God . After getting the letter, the writer (Lencho) is not at all shocked, but instead, he gets angry on finding less money than the demand. what he had expected. He again writes a letter to God showing his regret and distrust in the employees of the post office .Thus ironically the story ends.
